Primary Clutch doesn't move much

I have a 1994 Arctic Cat Cougar snowmobile. I got it from a friend who hasn't used it in 10 years. The engine runs fine, but the clutch won't engage. I took off the primary outer cover and then removed the spring, but the primary clutch only moves about a half an inch. I have tried spraying kroil penetrating oil on it but that doesn't seem to help. It has a fair amount of rust on the shaft too. Any thoughts? If possible, I want to avoid taking the clutch off. Hose diagram for EX/STX 340/440 70's

Hi!

I'm seeking a hose diagram of my Yamaha STX 340 from 1977 or a EX from the same year. The EX and STX is almost the same.

I have an old picture taken on my oil injection pump. I only need to know if the pipe 4 or 5 is the input or the output of oil from the oil tank. Should i also plug the rest of the pipes? I don't trust the oil injection of this old snowmobile :)

2008 Arctic Cat Z1 Jag

There is a red oily substance coming from the left side underneath the clutch. It is leaking very slowly, started about a month ago during storage. can't see where it is coming from. Any ideas what and where it is? Gas tank pretty much empty, but still added fuel stabilizer, which is red and somewhat oily. Could it be gear case oil?

Polaris Indy 500 jackshaft

Hello everyone, I tore apart my 92 Indy 650 with the 500 engine the other day to finally fix the speedo. When I was reassbling it, I noticed that the top bearing in the chaincase looks too big for the jackshaft. The shaft slops around inside the bearing. I know this can't be right and was hoping you guys could tell me what's wrong with it. Thanks in advance.

1999 Jag Headlight

Back in April my son and his friends loaded up the snowmobiles and were on their way home. Since they were squeezing 4 machines onto a small car hauler, they had to put 2 of them backwards. They did the proper thing and took off the windshield, but what the boneheads did forget was to strap the cowling back down.

The Jag's hood flew open, busted the cable, and continued on. The end result was a broken nose piece (fortunately not the hinge), and the headlight assembly. They didn't retrieve the headlight assembly, so now I'm looking for one, hopefully in-expensive.

Part number is 0609-245.

Found a few on eBay that look the same, but the part numbers end in -170.

First, does anyone have one they'd like to sell? And 2nd, does anyone know if the 170 is just an updated version?

Polaris RXL Crank Rebuild

Hello everyone, the two PTO bearings on the crankshaft of my 94 polaris rxl 650 are shot. i was wondering what it would take to replace those two bearings and where i could find the bearings for it. Also if anyone has a good crank for a reasonable price that'd be great. im looking to spend no more than i have too on this project. Thanks in advance.

1998 SRX 700 Tripple Won't Go

I have a 1998 SRX 700 Tripple that I picked up late last season. It ran fine for awhile then it lost some power (would only reach approx 30 mph). Then I parked it and now it will not move. It starts, idles, and revs up but the track will not engage. I picked it up cheaply and would rather not take it to a dealer to repair as it defeats the (cheap) purpose. Any thoughts?

1972 Panther 440 cylinders

Hello all, I picked up a 1972 Panther 440 that ran great and is in good condition minus a leaky head gasket. Did some digging and took off the heads and turns out the coating on the cylinders are starting to flake. Suggestions? the rest of the cylinder could use a hone or bore but i was also looking into having it sleeved. It has the kawi twin 440. Thanks!

bought an 04 pantera sled. brought it in to be serviced for the season, they said the driveshaft is bent and we need a new one. they are having trouble finding one, i guess there are 2 types, a longer one and a shorter one. the one i need is a shorter one. anyone know of one out there i could buy or find? it seems to be a hard to find item... thanks in advance.

Polaris RXL 650 Help

Hello everyone, I recently picked up a 1994 polaris RXL 650 triple. Its got a different engine in it as the fuel injection is no longer used and it now has carbs. It runs but it doesn't run that great. When I start it up and rev it the PTO(clutch side) cylinder spits a lot of gas out of the carb. The other two cylinders are fine. I have not opened up the carbs yet and I plan to but I was wondering if there was something else that could be causing it to do this. It sprayed enough fuel into the airbox that it caught on fire(not good. Didn't do any damage). Any help will be appreciated. Thank you
