As some may already know, I've been working on an unknown rotax 399cc engine. Got it running, and started to tackle an issue where no lights work.
Pulled the flywheel last night to check the stator. Put the flywheel back on today, and it turns very hard now. I've taken it back off/on about 5-6 times now, and it's the same thing each time. When the nut is just finger tight, the flywheel spins just fine. Soon as I tighten the nut the flywheel doesn't spin.
What am I missing. I've never had this problem with a flywheel before. I'm wondering if maybe the key is sliding bak whe I tighten the flywheel, but it literally only takes a turn of the wrench before it goes from spinning to stuck.
