hand grips and seats

I bought a sled (my first one) and found that when I ride it I almost slide off the seat and slip off the hand grips.

I see that the seat must have been reupholstered because it doesn't have the Polaris logo on it and the hand grips are shiny and smooth.

Is there anything I can do to give me better grip on my seat and hand grips?
