okay, so I rebuilt this motor a few years ago after it showed 90 PSI in both cylinders. It was barely within tolerances after the rebuild (piston to cylinder gap) and I figured it would last a couple years and I'd probably have to put a little more into it.
Well, today it has 90 on PTO side and 115 on the Mag side. It still runs, but it is very hard to start and once it is hot, it is even harder to start.
So I'm looking at rebuilding it again. Been a sweet little machine and I'll put some money into it. I'm curious of cylinders though.
Can they be bored? If not, I'm guessing re-plating? Or simply replacing.
Checked Alssnowmobile warehouse and he has re-plated ones for almost $200 and up to $305. Choke choke, cough.
I've not pulled the heads off yet, debating if I want to do that now or wait until I get the parts.
