I'm working on a 1990 Polaris Indy trail that has sat for a couple years. The first issue I had was the slide was stuck in one of the carbs. I was able to get that freed up. While I had the air filter off, I noticed the fuel line from the gas tank was broke off. So, I ran new hose from the gas tank to the fuel shutoff valve. I also replaced the fuel filter and the hoses that connected it in.
I'm having trouble getting gas to flow. Should gas flow from the tank if it has gas in it and that fuel line is off the connection on the tank? Or, does it rely on a pump of some kind to pull it?
I'm just wondering if the tank has something clogging it up inside and if so, how do I get at it to determine the issue.
I'm new to sleds so please pardon the newb.
Thanks!
