SO my buddy wants to sell me his assault with 500-800 miles on newer engine.
The connecting rod bent and blew metal flakes all over inside the crank. My guess is that the carb float stuck and flooded the crank.
Indydan rebuilt the whole thing with new crank, etc...
He said it was a high compression head and he runs only racing fuel in it. It is a big time sled with every upgrade imaginable.
What needs to happen to replace the connecting rod?
What should something like that cost?
The top end is all off.
Luckily, the cylinder still looks and feels good. No scoring happened.
Thanks all
BTW he will sell it to me for $2k as is. Is that a good or fair price?
