New sled

Hi guys, picked up a nice used (really shows like new) 2002 XCR 800...under 4,000 miles, all stock, but has a exhaust can on it.....mostly trail ride....but lake ride occasionally......had it out 4 times so far.....no triple digit speeds yet......not sure it's got that or not....we all prolly heard the old saying, " rather eat worms, than drive stock". Should I leave well enough alone? I'd like to get to 100 mph....but, want dependability......where would you guys look at, at getting a lil more performance? Thanks, in advance. Dewey
