So Skidoo just announced their 2017 updates. Yamaha has been circulating a commercial saying something big is coming. I've not heard much from Cat or Polaris.

Skidoo's main changes are the new 850 motor and a new chassis called the Rev-G4.
The major improvement to the RevG4 chassis is definitely the strength of the front end. Grip and Rip braces were selling like hot cakes for the 2013-2016 models due to a weakness in the S-module.

Ergonomics were changed a bit, but until I actually sit on one, I just can't judge. The plastics look like they have more angles and such, hopefully out of the way of the knees.

And like Polaris's new motor with the lightweight crank shaft, only time will tell how that will work out for both Skidoo and Polaris. I'm not a big HP type person. 600 is enough for me and considering I ride with guys that have 800s and I'm usually leading or right on their tails, I don't suffer much. :p

So when do the other manufacturers announce stuff? What do you think Yamaha is doing? Rumors are talking about a Sno-bike from them that will be awesome enough to entice people convert.

Personally, I hate the snow bikes on the trails. Just went around a loop trail here that went up and down some steep hills. Every single one of the hills had a trench right down the middle about 12" wide. These are suppose to be nice groomed trails, but it is impossible for the groomer to fix those trenches.
