I just bought a new cylinder walls for my 1998 RMK 500, everything set PERFECTLY, water cooler, head bolts, cylinder bolts.. I get to where the carb boot is and the carb boot seems to be a little bigger on this cylinder wall than my last cylinder walls.. It appears as if these holes are a little further from the center than my last one. The holes are the same (Same bolt works on it) diameter and everything its just the bolt pattern on the boot is a little bigger
Old boot specs
Hole Diameter: 1 1/2 inches
Bolt to Bolt: 2 7/8 inches
New spec
Hole Diameter: 1 1/2 inches
Bolt to bolt: 3 3/8 inches
So do i just need to get the boot with the wider bolt pattern? They didn't know what year the walls came off but its a perfect match (For EVERYTHING else).. Anyone have any thoughts?
