hi all. new to the forum and have a problem with an 87 indy 400. either my brake rotor key way is worn or the shaft or maybe the key itself. whats the proper way to remove the upper shaft? can i simply undue the cover and remove the top and bottom gear and chain and unbolt the flange bearing on the driven clutch side and slide the shaft out of the chain case to remove the rotor and key or does the whole chain case need to come out????? doesn't seem like i would have to remove the whole case.
