Hello I am wondering if someone can piece this puzzle together.... I have a 97 Indy Trail Touring that I use mostly for ice fishing and pulling kids around the house. It only has 1600 miles because it sat for a number of years. Got it going a couple of years ago. Recently I've had problems with the sled becoming very boggy on take-off after it warms up. It runs great after first start-up, but after awhile it becomes very boggy. One time I could barely get it to move. Once I get through the bog, it runs good at higher speeds.
I've checked out the clutch, both primary and secondary seem to be working correctly. Also cleaned the carbs back when I got the sled going.
Here's another issue that I have: The headlight goes dim intermittently. Wonder if these issues are related an I have an electrical problem? The timing of the lights going dim doesn't always line up with the engine problem though. I've read on a forum about someone having a problem with the coil exciter and voltage regulator. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks
