I use premium. My thinking is it's less likely to predetonate and both of my machines are air cooled. I actually run premium in all my air cooled stuff; mowers, chain saw, blowers ect....
Wish I could get the ethanol free stuff easily. Unfortunately, there aren't many options in CT or VT. If you want ethanol free, you're looking at race fuel or fuel you have to by from a race fuel distributor.
