So this was another question that came up on another site. What would you like to see in future machines? Even dream a little outside of the normal.
There is a guy that took a Skidoo rev and narrowed the machine up. I believe he is even going to a single ski. He is predicting that snowmachines will get narrower and more bike like. I don't see that really becoming as popular as current sleds unless some power plant is found that gets ridiculous fuel economy and has the power of at least the current 600's. Mostly because it is very difficult to put a 10 gallon tank on a bike.
What I do think is going to happen is we'll see a return of the SxS snowmachine. Skidoo made the Elite in the past. Last one built was in 2006. They were ahead of their time and expensive. But with the surge in SxS sales in the ATV market, I think they will make a come back on snow. The one key is the price. They won't be able to charge $30k for them. $10k-20k should do alright as SxS ATVs are in that price range.
