i have a 03 800 polaris rmk vertical escape. the first season i bought it i ended up breaking a bolt off that holds the wheel to the belt and couldnt run my sled that year. last year i get it fixed and dumb me tries to run it with old fuel in it as it was only a half tank. after about 2-3 trips the sled started to misfire to the point where i couldnt get it to move. this year now i have drained the gas, cleaned the carbs and replaced a cracked float, cleaned the power valves, and bought new spark plugs. i do not know much about engines but i do not feel like spending another 500-1k on this sled so im doing it myself. i put it all back together put a small amount of gas down the plugs and tried to start it. no dice.
i went out and bought a compression test and at around 7k ft and 20-30 degrees im getting 100 in both with WOT (is this to low?) i took the carb back off and gas spilled out, there appears to be oil in the carb too. i pulled it a few more times and about a bottle cap worth of gas came out of the fuel pump each time i pulled. i do not know what to try next, any suggestions?
