I picked up a srv 540 at the end of last season. Good running sled, but no lights work. Tested the Yellow wire for the lighting coil with the sled running and it's putting out good voltage. Then I pulled the taillight and the headlight bulb, and both appear to be fine. I cut the wire to the voltage regulator and started the sled up and let it idle, and still nothing.
Only thin I can think of is that the previous owner had hand warmers on it ran through a toggle, and they tapped into the wiring in the steering column. It looks like they stopped working, and the person cut one of the wires that they had installed. Haven't had a chance to pull the cover and get a better look, but don't see how that would stop all lights from working.
Anyone have any ideas or insight as to any other area to focus on?
