Good morning to all. I had sleds back in the mid 80's, when we used to have snow here in S.E. Mass.,and a group to ride with. I've been getting back into it over the last couple of years starting with a 71 Ski-doo 440 TNT that came from a guy I trade various things back and forth with. I got it running, but had forgotten that on those old machines that you and your knees are the suspension. I picked up a John Deere Sprintfire last year which is a bit easier on the tailbone. Last summer I lucked into an 01 Ski-doo MXZ 700 that had most of the front end gear wiped out. This one is almost done, really looking forward to trying it out, but honestly I'm a little afraid of what it might do. I got off the ground with the JD ( by accident), the little 340 took me by surprise when I opened it up going around the back of the garage, suddenly I was at 40 mph and the wife's garden gazebo was dead ahead about 30 feet away. I managed to keep it under control, either old reflexes do come back or I just got lucky. This MXZ has twice the engine in it and twice the carburation. I think I'll be taking it real easy on this one for a while. Stay tuned.
Greetings
