I've had a cool old 'bomber' sled for the last couple of years, an '89 Safari Escalade, electric start, reverse, two-up... Real nice condition for it's year and everything always worked well.
Taking it out this year, suddenly the electric start won't do anything at all on a key turn. It is a confirmed good battery. I did the good 'ole screwdriver across the solenoid posts based on another suggestion, and I got spark and it tried to turn, presumably saying solenoid and starter are good.
I replaced the in-line fuse, (although I believe it was good anyway), and double checked re-doing that wiring and seems all good, and still no go.
What else could it be? If it is ignition 'switch', what part to look for? Thanks!
