Polaris 08 RMK 700

I ,

I have a 08 rmk 700, instead to have a plastic bumper it have an aluminium bumper, but my question is, it is nornmal to have a hole between the 2 aluminum bar. see picture.

I just want to know if I put more duck tape this winter.
