I just bought a 2007 F8 in the spring and the seller pointed out that the thumb warmer was missing. I looked and just a little bit of the foam was left on the throttle.
I bought a replacement (Element, Thumbwarmer 0609-827) with the foam and am wondering how to install this.
Does the foam go on first then stick the element to the foam?
Also; where do I plug it in? There isn't any obvious spot. I see where the handwarmers join in some plastic and there is electrical tape that I could take off and see if there is an extra plug receptacle in there but I didn't want to dig around too much before asking. The wire from the element is really short as well so it has to be somewhere around the handlebars I'm assuming.
I've done many searches here and all over the intarwebz but cannot find a detailed description or pictures of how to do this on a sled. From what I've found there are a lot of 'how to's' on ATV's for thumb warmers but that's it.
